Sheffield has over 90 parks and open spaces but few of these are suitable for power kiting or traction kiting. We recommend the following safety practices when kite flying; Avoid parks in valleys and those surrounded by trees and houses as the wind will be unpredictable. Do not fly kites near overhead cables. Please also stay clear of the busy popular parks and those with amenities such as play grounds and cafes.
