Fraisthorpe
IMPORTANT: Helmets, kite killers / leashes & insurance are strongly recommended for all sessions.
Types:
Static, Buggy, Landboard, Kitesurf, Trick
Address: Auburn Farm, Fraisthorpe
Best Wind(s): E to SE is best. SSE to NE is OK depending on the tide for land activities. W (offshore winds) can be turbulent and not suitable for Kitesurfing.
Tides: High tide completely covers the beach so check out the tide times before you go.

Rules: The first kite flier to arrive should assess the site and choose the best flying area. They should then set up OUT OF and UPWIND of this area! The aim is to leave the main flying area clear of obstructions.
Parking:
Fraisthorpe beach is accessed at Auburn Farm. Follow the signs for 'The Beach' off the A165 at Fraisthorpe, south of Bridlington.
You follow a long, narrow road past the farmhouse on the left (and the Caravan Club Campsite on the right) to car parking in a field on the cliff top.
Parking is charged (2 per car) by attendant in Summer, or honesty box in Winter.
Facilities: Toilets are available in a whitewashed outbuilding near the farmhouse (before you reach the car park). Basic refreshments are usually available from a refreshment van on the cliff top.
Additional info/tips:
Please be aware that the beach can get very busy in the summer months.
At busy times the landowner prefers to keep kites away from the South end of the beach. Please park up as far North as you can and head down to the beach. Once on the beach traction activities should be carried out to the North but not beyond the start of the South Shore Holiday Village.
